It feels good to not pay out of pocket for nutrition care!
If you have health insurance, that's great- I accept it! Not all plans provide nutrition benefits, but most do.

Alabama BCBS: I can quickly determine your nutrition benefits virtually. Most plans cover 3 hours of nutrition per year as preventive care. This is a $0 cost to you!

Federal
BCBS: Federal plans cover 6+ visits per year as preventive care. This is a $0 cost to you!

Other state BCBS: I am an in-network provider. I will need to call and talk to a rep to find out your benefits. Many states provide unlimited nutrition visits as preventive care. This is a $0 cost to you!

Aetna: I am an in-network provider. Most plans cover 10 visits for obesity and/or high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or similar diagnoses.

Cigna: I am an in-network provider for most networks. I will need to call and talk to a rep to find out your benefits. The exception is for eating disorders, which have unlimited visits covered.

United Healthcare: I am an in-network provider. Most plans cover an unlimited number of visits for overweight, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or similar diagnoses.

Medicare: I am not a Medicare provider. If we work together, you'll have to pay out of pocket. FYI: Medicare only pays for diabetes and kidney disease.

Medicare Advantage or Dual Complete through BCBS or UHC: I am an in-network provider. If your card says "Medicare" on it along with BCBS/UHC, this applies to you. These plans only pay for diabetes and kidney disease (stage III or greater).

Medicaid: Alabama and Georgia Medicaid do not allow dietitians to be providers, so it will not pay for our visits.

Tricare or Humana: I am out-of-network. They require a dietitian to be housed with a physician, so I do not meet their credentialing requirements. You will need to pay upfront, and I will provide you an itemized receipt.

Other insurance companies: I am an out-of-network provider. I will provide you an insurance benefits check guide to call and talk to a rep to find out your benefits. You will need to pay upfront. I will provide you an itemized receipt for you to submit to insurance.

For me to check your benefits, complete your first visit paperwork on my appointments page (click button below). Me checking benefits doesn't obligate you to a visit.
